Hi everyone. We had an amazing Christmas hopefully you all did too! The boys were immensely spoiled by everyone. Sure is amazing to have family that loves them as much as we do!
John and Elaine thanks for coming down to spend Christmas morning with us. Hopefully it was worth waking up on 4.5 hrs of sleep.
Tonight we are going to exchange with Kevin and Cristina. Keep your fingers crossed for them, since they are waiting to see if their offer is accepted for a house they are trying to buy. Their wedding is also coming very very soon. January 24th! Wow.
I think we may try to take the boys skiing on Monday or Tuesday for the first time. I of course can't wait!!! My mom got them cute snowsuits for x-mas. So cute!! I need to get them gloves and we will be set!
I need to get my butt going since Tim is leaving for work soon. Need to go running for a bit.
The boys are playing Carnival Golf for the Wii. Doesn't sound too easy, since they are yelling for help.
Have a great weekend!!!

Birthday Boys!
So the boys are 5 and we just had their party over the weekend. They had soooo much fun. More then so much fun. They had fun playing all of the games and just playing with their friends.
It was definitely a lot of work, but I must say it was totally worth every second!
I will post pictures soon! I think I got a few good ones!
Love you all!!

Hello...
Sorry it has been forever since I have updated this thing. The boys have had a field day with my laptop at home and busted my spacebar key. You never know how much you really truly need that key in order to type a tad bit faster. Oh and then I had an accident with the modem and top it all off it was the same thing I yell at the boys for... I spilt my drink and fried the modem... oye!
Life has been good, but very busy. I was sick forver so I finally went to the doctor for some antibiotics. I am feeling so much better now.
The boys are doing great they are enjoying school and really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. Oh and their birthday!!! Just an FYI their birthday party is going to be December 13th at Julie's house.
Ok- gotta get back to work. xoxo

Pumpkin Picking
So we went pumpkin picking today with my mom and had such a great time. We went to Johnson Farm's out towards or in Cherry Hill. Last time we went it was so crowded that we didn't even stay, but this time was perfect. We didn't have to wait in line for anything and were able to do quite a bit there. It was a bit chilly so I wish I dressed a tad warmer but overall it was perfect.
Afterwards we went and bought the boys their Halloween costumes, which was an almost disaster. Colin was SET on being Optimus Prime from Transformers, but the costume was cheesy! Without the mask you wouldn't of had a clue what he was supposed to be. So we found these cool Ninja costumes... Braeden was sold quite easily, but Colin was quite hard. We sold him when he was able to buy fake snakes as his "secret weapon" lol.
It really was a great day. Beautiful weather! Thanks mom!
We were beat when we got home... darn coffee didn't do its trick. It is almost their bedtime so I am going to relax maybe rent a movie. I need to rest my knees since they are all bruised from playing speed ball with my kids from my alternative program. We kicked butt though!
Wish Timmy was home. :(
In case you didn't know... Disney is in 1 week from tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Can you say???

We have our count down to Disney going, but we still have to pick out our costumes. They might be Transformers. Not so sure on that one though. Disney has not come out with anything I am crazy over. Loved their costumes last year, but I don't want the same for this year. I think we leave in 5 Sundays. Woo hoo!
So we went to a birthday party over the weekend for the daughter of one of my friends. She is going to turn 2 on the 26th. Being around all of the little kids was so cute. I swear some little girls just love to play with the boys. They love the fact that they are twins and they get to pretend who is mommy. The niece of one of my friends and the daughter of another have staked their claim on the twins years ago. Probably around 2 yrs old and whenever they are around them my kids disappear. Sounds like when they are around Krista and Ashley too. Too funny. I guess I would be the same if I were their age.
Work has been really busy this year. A lot going on. Makes me sad sometimes that some of the kids have such family and behavioral issues. Some days I wish for a magic wand, but I know that some of them just need to mature and learn the important lessons in life. I know I wouldn't want to go through it. I hope that I learn some important lessons for when my boys are teenagers because I really don't want to go through with some of the scary stuff that these parents are.
Everything is the same with Tim and work. We are hoping that he gets promoted after Christmas. Really hoping for Harold Square so keep your fingers crossed. It looks promising.
On another note, we went out to Columbus Flea Market on Sunday and man oh man is our economy tanking. The place was PACKED. I really truly have not seen the place so crowded. Trust me I am so not a fan of flea markets and seeing that was kind of sad. As Tim and I say, all the more reason to vote for Obama. We really can't take another 4 years of someone with the same policies as Bush. Oye. We have been watching alot of Bill Mahr and it is hysterical.

Note worthy!
In case you don't already know this...
Sara Palin makes me sick! I can't stomach her anymore. Please, oh please, do not vote for McCain! Can't risk having the chance of her as our President.

Finally!

The boys are in school now... as if those who read the blog don't already know. haha. I can't even begin to describe how much they enjoy school! They come home excited about the "jobs" they have in school more then anything. It was funny after the first day of school and I mean as soon as they came out of the school they asked me, "Can I get a job now?" Oh my goodness, too cute. I told them that it most definitely could be arranged... Emma and Hunter have some poopies that need to be picked up... Braeden did his legendary sound effects "Whaaaa" Just for the record I do not make the boys pick up dog poop! That would be Tim trying to weasel out of his chore. Just ask the boys about it.
I am in love with the Baby Center right now because I "think" I have finally figured a way to get my boys down at night without an 1-1.5 hr battle. I saw the greatest tip in the world on there. For bedtime you can give the kids 2 coupons for a free "I need Mommy" but after that they lose coupons, but if they make it till the morning they can use the coupons for a reward. (NOTE TO JULIE- SEE THE KEY WORD- REWARD) haha Julie and I have a battle of wills over spoiling the boys.
So... for the past 2 nights I am beyond proud to say that they were out within 20 minutes BOTH nights! Seriously this is amazing. Since they have been walking and talking bedtime has not been this easy. I have tried other reward programs with them, but this one seems to work the best. They now are the proud owners of 4 tickets each, which they are saving for Disney. Maybe as a reward we will bring them to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden.
Otherwise things are great around here. Busy doing the work/play thing. We try to keep busy. Very excited for the fall- cooler weather to come so we can go apple and pumpkin picking. The boys are beyond excited for that. We are also trying to figure out what our Halloween costumes will be... we will all be dressing up down in Disney. haha Should be quite the picture huh?
Love to all.

School days are coming
I can't believe how fast the summer went. The boys and I officially start school on the 3rd. They are excited. We received their notice in the mail the other day they are in Ms. Dreher's afternoon class on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I am sure they will do really well. They are such good boys and usually so well behaved. I am blessed to have such good boys, especially, since they are twins.
We went to Kayla's birthday party yesterday. The boys had a lot of fun on the huge water slide, trampoline, and looking and Kayla's koi fish and Nemo's. I swear the boys would be happy anywhere there are fish. Too bad the birthday girl wasn't feeling that well. Hope you have a great birthday Kayla (who actually turns 3 on Monday).
After the party Tim and I took the boys shopping. They needed some new pants and shirts. I do believe they have officially gone through a growth spurt! Their first big one! lol. We bought 5T for shirts and 4 adjustable waist for pants from The Gap. The pants were a wee bit big, but I didn't want to go smaller just in case. I think that they are going to be styling boys. I know they can't wear super nice outfits to preschool since they will be using paint, makers, and who knows what else.
We have Tim's 32nd birthday coming up in a little over a week and then our 6th anniversary! Woo hoo! I think I might try to have something at our house. Who knows. We are still working on the backyard. I am going to have my dad take a look at the yard tomorrow to help us plan it out for a possible pool. Actually we are quite certain that we are going to get a pool it is a matter of actually getting all of the work done. We are thinking that we are going to use the yard so much more if there is a pool back there. It will also be great for when Heather and the girls come stay with us!! **hint hint**
I made a heartbreaking decision and stepped on my mom's scale today. I gained back almost 15lbs of the 20 that I lost so I have decided that I need to go into serious exercise and healthy eating mode. See what the summer does to you?? lol. Nah, got to figure out what my weakness was this summer. I didn't think I was that bad. hhmm
Big shout out to my brother who turns 33 tomorrow. Happy Birthday John!! Love ya!!! Hopefully you read this!
My parents anniversary is on Tuesday and my dad thinks that Stewart's drive-in will pass as a romantic dinner for the two of them. hhmm after all of those years and the man still hasn't learned. I think we may all go with them or at least I think we were invited.
I will update with pictures some time this week. I took an adorable one of Colin and Tim last night. I must say that Colin and Tim bonded this week!!! So glad.
Night everyone!

Being a mom...
So what happens when you plan a kid-less trip to Michigan for a wedding? Bad Mommy Vibes
I thought I had all bases covered when I planned my trip to Michigan. I was traveling out there with one of my good friends, Heather. She decided not to bring her little munchkin (see post & pic below) so I decided to leave the boys at home with Tim. Tuns out that Tim had to work on Saturday so that is the day that bad mommy vibes came into play. What would you think happened on that day??
Well, Braeden decided that he was going to run a fever of 103. I was crushed. Sobbing in fact. My friends must have thought I was a little nuts. Tough Jess crying like a baby because her baby was running a fever. I knew that he was in good and capable hands since he was with my MIL, but it didn't change the fact that my baby was sick hundreds of miles away from me. My heart broke even more when I got on the phone with him and he was crying and saying that he didn't feel good and didn't want to take the medicine. Luckily Julie bribed him to take the meds and his fever dropped a little, but he really didn't get better until the following night. I guess it was some viral thing that ended with a stomach virus. Needless to say I was quite happy to get home. Well for other reasons too... seems that something in the Michigan air does is not compatible with my allergies. Sunday morning I woke up and thought I was having an asthma attack (scary since I don't have asthma). Quite rough. I am starting to feel better now- still a little stuffy, but my lungs are clear.
I only got to see Tim for about a day before he had to leave for his annual security manager's meeting (2 nights). That is when Colin decided that he would embrace the virus. I was "supposed" to work this week, luckily my job is quite flexible especially in the summer. So they went to the sitter's house on Tuesday then that night is when I noticed Colin's body temp scorching me as he was pushing me out of my king size bed. Nice huh? He was pretty miserable all day on Wednesday- burning up even throughout the night. Wasn't fun at all. He woke up with the stomach thing- as he puked all over my carpet. Luckily it was just Cheerios so pretty easy to clean. He is feeling a lot better now. Hopefully it ends with Colin.
I really truly need to go food shopping. I am out of pretty much everything. Stinks. I should have given either my parents or my IL's a call last night so I could run up to the store, but I always feel bad.
Michigan was fun. I was able to see 5 of my closest friends. We really truly had a great time. Not quite what I expected. Mid-western weddings are definitely different then Jersey weddings (all around). I was quite over-dressed for the rehearsal and the wedding. Ah, it is ok though. I still felt nice.
I was able to test out my brand new flat iron THE CHI on 2 of my friends hair. They fell in love with it as well. So nice. I was also the make-up queen for the wedding. I did the bride's make-up, which I was definitely stressing over since I was doing a BRIDE'S make-up. I think I did a pretty good job she looked beautiful. I also did Heather's make-up and hair and I thought that she looked BUTIFUL!
The school year (for me) officially starts next week now. Since I was supposed to work this week I would of had a weeks break before the CST (Child Study Team) was due back. We are not on the teacher's schedule we work 10 months and 10 days. 5 days before school starts and 5 days after. Not sure how I feel about going back. I was just starting to enjoy my break (lol). It isn't like my work schedule is too stressful I work 7-2 with an hour break for lunch. Very nice. I have a new office this year that I have been trying to set-up. It isn't as large as my last office, but I think it will definitely do. I was thinking about bringing in my coffee maker, buying a tiny fridge, so I have a complete set-up in there.
Tim is on his way home now so I should run. Hopefully we will go food shopping. Cross your fingers.

Loving August
I think that I definitely enjoy August the most out of the summer months. I think that July is alright because of the fireworks, but it kind of ends there. It is usually way too hot. August has the perfect weather. Maybe too much rain, but overall perfect.

Lots to do...
We have a lot on the agenda today.
Lol... then you ask why I sit here??? Not quite sure.
I just ordered the crabs for tomorrow. YUMMS! Extra spicy! They are even going to cook them. I should order them like that more often. I am afraid to cook them on my own. The noises that happen in the pot are creepy. Yet I eat them.
I have to go and get beer, corn, and some other stuff at the store today.
We went to the fair at St. Francis in Ship Bottom yesterday. Kind of a waste of money, but the boys had fun. They only had a handful of rides for their size and they were not letting them go on some of them alone. Kind of silly since they were able to go on them last year. Make sense?? At 37 or so inches they were just right, but at 40.5 they were too small. hhmm. Screwy.
I went to another good workshop yesterday on Over-indulged children. It was actually quite enlightening. I think I am going to make some changes in my personal life so my own children benefit. I have personally seen the repercussions and it really isn't something that I want to go through with with my own children. I would rather see them upset with me in life because I set boundaries. I imagine it is going to be hard.
He also spoke about the present giving thing. That children should not receive as many gifts as they do because they learn to not appreciate the gifts.
He said SPOILING is not good. Spoil with love, affection, and guidance, not material things and definitely not privileges that are beyond their age. All makes sense. He gave some case studies and trust me the kids don't really make it in the end.
I can see that. Maybe I can put those changes into place for their 5th birthday and Christmas this year. Hopefully I can get everyone on board with my plan. What do you think, family?
So tomorrow is my birthday celebration. I am excited. It isn't going to be anything big. I have a handful of people going out to LBI later that night. Should be fun.
I bid you a farewell... as I have to get my day started. My rat monkey's are eating fudge right now. Lovely lunch!

Whew... busy 2 days
We had a visit at Grandma Frankie's last night. Someone got spoiled since he was in the hospital (basically all Saturday night). My Colin was spoiled senseless by Julie. Seriously, I think she almost bought the whole Toys R Us. Or at least our playroom seems to think so. lol. Braeden is definitely reaping the benefits of having Colin as his brother. I must say that both boys were awesome in the hospital on Saturday. They were both brave and well behaved. So proud.

Wanting to see his brother!

The boys are staying at PopPop and Grandma Frankie's tonight, as requested by them. Tim and I had wee bit of a date night involving an awesome movie, The Dark Knight. We are obviously home now. Tim is catching the replay of the Yankees and I am updating everyone... or at least attempting to do so.
Good night Colin and Braeden... sleep tight! Mommy loves you!
Hope you enjoy all of the pics!

Day one or two...
I decided that since I am god awful at calling people on the phone I would use blogging as a way to update everyone on "our" life.
So...
Tim got home super late last night from his "security manager's meeting" aka the Met's vs Philly's game. hmmm lucky him. It would be nice to say that I stayed up waiting for him, but I was actually working on my blog with Debbie. She basically did everything so if you don't like something you can blame her. Somehow, I think that if you didn't like the blog it would be because of my background choice or my "lovely" pic of Bush on the side. lol. I get a chuckle out of it. We were actually trying to put another GWB goof on there, but it didn't work out too well.
I imagine that I have to get my butt going this morning. We all slept kind of late. The boys since they decided that the aquarium wasn't a big enough incentive to go to bed (on time) and the parents since we stayed up past our bedtime, as well. We have to figure out what we are going to do today. The beach (our original choice) is kind of out of the question now... darn rain! I definitely can't do the aquarium or Nanny 911 will be on my doorstep tomorrow. Stinks because I wanted to see the new shark at the aquarium. Maybe the boys will listen to me... one of these nights.
Hopefully this is a good start to my blogging career. Deb do you approve?
